SEA Academy
The Academy is a military science & law enforcement program for 11th and 12th grade students, leading to the award of an accredited regular high school diploma. Required high school subjects are made relevant through practical applications relating to law enforcement and military science. Elective programs include: Computer Applications, Internet-web site design, medical occupations and foreign language skills.
The program is highly structured: requiring motivation, personal accountability and self-discipline. In addition to striving for academic excellence, the students will work toward acquiring the attributes of character including: honesty, integrity and responsibility. Military style structure, courtesy and discipline are enforced. As a part of the ABC and Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School Districts, there is no charge for tuition. However, the Academy uniform and related personal items are required. The Academy is not a program for troubled youth, such as "Bootcamp" or "Scared Straight".
The Academy meets daily, Monday through Friday, at the ROP Cabrillo Lane Campus in Cerritos.
